Car Description

1968 Ford BroncoOffered for sale by K2 Motorcars is this extremely desirable 1968 Ford Bronco finished in Dark Blue over a Black and Gray interior. This 1968 Ford Bronco underwent a four-year refurbishment that started in 2016 when the seller acquired it from its previous owner in Minnesota. It is finished in blue over a gray and black interior, and power comes from a rebuilt and overbored 289ci V8 mated to a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a black Rampage soft top, aftermarket front, and rear bumpers, tubular running boards, 33″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires mounted on 15″ polished wheels, a Retro Sound head unit with an internal Bluetooth module, a Tuffy locking console, and vinyl bucket seats. Body panels were replaced, the frame was sandblasted and repainted, and the axles were rebuilt during the refurbishment. Equipment includes removable doors, black tubular running boards, a replacement black Rampage soft top, stainless-steel door hinges, color-matched fender flares, LED lighting, and black-painted steel bumpers with a hitch receiver at the rear. Polished-aluminum 15″ slotted wheels feature Warn front hub locks and are wrapped in 33″ x 12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires showing 2016 date codes, while a full-size spare wheel and tire are mounted on a swing-out mount that is part of the rear bumper. A 2″ Wild Horses body lift and a 3.5″ suspension lift, extended radius arms, and power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums were added. The interior features high-back bucket seats upholstered in gray, water-resistant cloth, a color-matched dash, black carpets, and carpeted floor mats with Bronco embroidery. Amenities include a Tuffy lockable center console with a cushioned armrest, a Retro Sound head unit with an internal Bluetooth module, and a diamond-plate base for the transfer-case levers. A leather-wrapped billet aluminum steering wheel sits on a replacement Ididit adjustable steering column and fronts a 100-mph speedometer with inset gauges for amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The replacement odometer indicates 30 miles; true mileage is unknown. The 289ci V8 reportedly was bored .030″ over stock displacement and was rebuilt using an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, a replacement wiring harness, and a new alternator. An electric fuel pump and a replacement 23-gallon fuel tank are also utilized. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed C4 automatic transmission sourced from a Mustang and a dual-range transfer case. The frame was sandblasted, primed, and repainted before reassembly, and the front and rear axles and transmission were reportedly rebuilt as part of the refurbishment.
