The 400 Superamerica is the successor of the 410 Superamerica and was built in two series from 1959 until 1964. Introduced during the Brussels Auto Salon in January 1960 the name of the 400 Superamerica is close to its processor but it was a completely new development. The first series of the 400 Superamerica consists of 23 units except for two Scaglietti chassis all other chassis are done by Pininfarina. Most of the examples, in total 12, with a strongly sloping rear end and a panorama rear window. The second series also consists 23 units, whereas 4 were Pininfarina cabriolets and 19 Aerodinamica-coupes. The successor of the 400 Superamerica is the 500 Superfast which was developed out of the Superfast IV.
