Car Description

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1930 Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan at our Milwaukee showroom. Cadillac is considered as one of the first automobile brands in the world. When Cadillac was purchased by General Motors in 1909 it had already established itself as one of Americas premier luxury auto lines. Cadillac has continuously been at the forefront of technical advances, such as full electrical systems, clashless manual transmissions and steel roofs. The Cadillac brand has developed three V-8 engines becoming a standard in the American automotive industry. Since its inception, Cadillacs biggest selling point was that we use precision manufacturing which translates into excellent reliability. Our Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan is one of only 2,069 units manufactured in 1939. The 75 series is an astonishing 225.1 inches long with curb weight of 4900lbs. Body changes in 1939 included a new pointed grille with functional side grilles which were diecast with finch bars. The trunk now has the appearance of being an integral part of the body. Cadillac bodies are now completely all steel except for the wooden main sills. Optional side mounted tire covers were hinged to the front fenders. An option which this exceptional Series 75 has appointed with. New in 1939 were other advancements like a tube and fin radiator, seashell horns, and 10mm sparkplugs. This 1939 Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan is presented in formal black paint with a tan formal interior. Speaking of the interior, one needs only to open the suicide doors to realize the opulence this Series 75 displays. An area of a small parlor consisting of a large mohair bench seat (couch) with two matching fold down jump seats and footrest. There is even a glass roll up window to separate the driver from the rear seating area. Under the hood is a 346 cubic inch V-8 engine attached to three-speed synchromesh manual transmission. One look at this 1939 Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan and you will fall in love with American opulence at its finest.
