Description

Introducing a great example of the 1974 BMW 3.0 CS in black with tan leather interior, low miles and well maintained California car.
The BMW E9 is a range of coups produced from 1968 to 1975. Initially released as the 2800 CS model, the E9 was based on the BMW 2000 C / 2000 CSfour-cylinder coups, which were enlarged to fit the BMW M30 six-cylinder engine. The E9 bodywork was built by Karmann.

The 2800CS was replaced by the 3.0 CS and 3.0 CSi in 1971, which was bored out to give a displacement of 2,986 cc (182.2 cu in). The 3.0 CS has a 9.0:1 compression ratio, twin carburetors and produces 134 kW (180 hp) at 6000 rpm. The 3.0 CSi has a 9.5:1 compression ratio, Bosch D-Jetronic electronic fuel injection, and produces 149 kW (200 hp) at 5500 rpm. Transmission options were a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic.

In the United States, 1974 models have protruding 5 mile per hour bumpers.
Owned by a BMW anthusiast, it was purchased in march of 2013 from the original owner and has been a San Francisco car all it's life.
The current owner was driving the car sparingly but was always getting the thumbs up every time he would take it out.
The owner now feels that it needs to go to another lucky owner to be enjoyed.
There is an extensive maintenance history.
The Paint shows well and has no noticeable dents or damages.
The interior is original but the front seats will soon need to be upholstered and the head liner is starting to sag in the rear.
The glass is clean and has no cracks or repairs.
The Pirelli P4000 Measure 7/32 all around.
The trunk still carries a full tool box with fuses, spark plugs etc...
The car will be delivered with the original owners manual, the Redacted service records and a set of keys.
